What actually matters
Wash gently. Keep bonds dry and clear of oils. Brush from the ends up. Sleep in a loose braid or silk wrap. Book the move-up when the set is due — earlier if you feel slip, tension, or matting at the root.
If the set already feels wrong — visible bonds, slip, or a blend that never sat — that is not a wash-habit question. Start with extension correction.
