Bridal hair extensions in NYC

This URL is bridal extension planning around a wedding date. It is not the New York City hub, not a keratin-bond service document, not a fine-hair volume decision page, and not the informational bridal timeline.

The job is to plan volume, length, density, color, install timing, and later care so the hair you wear on the day can support the hairstyle you already have in mind. Avelen sells and installs extensions. We do not include wedding-day hairstyling, bridal makeup, day-of touchups, bridal-party styling, or venue attendance on this page.

What extensions help with before a wedding

Most wedding-date requests are some mix of: more volume at a similar length, added length that still moves, denser hair that can hold an intended updo or veil, and a quiet blend in close photographs. The set should move with your own hair — not sit as a costume piece for one afternoon.

Extensions can be planned for a bridal hairstyle without Avelen performing that hairstyle. Send a dress, veil, or style reference if you have one. We map amount and placement to that goal. Whoever does the wedding hair is a separate booking.

K-Tip vs sew-in for a wedding plan

Two constructions cover most wedding-date plans. Strand-by-strand keratin-bond work lives on K-Tip extensions in NYC. Row construction lives on sew-in. Neither method is assigned from this page. Photos decide whether individual pieces or a weft line can sit on the hair you start with and still support the look you want.

Come here for the wedding calendar, color around that date, and how much hair the day needs. Go to the method URLs when the question is construction itself.

When to start planning

Start a photo consult once the wedding date and the intended look are real enough to plan. Many people begin months ahead so color, amount, and an install date can be placed without rushing. That is not a fixed public calendar, and it is not an install-exactly-N-days rule — including not “exactly 14 days before.”

Install timing is individualized: the hair you start with, whether you are coloring first, whether a current set has to come out, and how much settling time you want before photographs. The informational sequence — consult, install buffer, settling before the week of the event — lives on bridal timeline. This page stays the commercial bridal service.

The photo consultation — 2 to 4 photos

Send 2–4 daylight photos: front, side, back, and a close view of the root and part. Add the wedding date. A dress, veil, or hairstyle reference helps if you have one. A stylist replies with whether extensions look appropriate, a method direction, density thinking, color notes, and an honest range.

That is the photo consultation — not a live video call and not a pressure close. You do not pay a deposit to hear that the calendar is too tight, or that the look you want needs a different amount of hair.

Color matching around bridal color services

Shade is matched to your real hair from daylight photos — roots, mid-lengths, and ends — not a one-shade box. If you plan to color your hair before the wedding, tell us the intended wedding hair color so the extension match can account for it. Final confirmation happens in the appointment before the set is finished.

We do not publish preferred salons, wedding planners, partner discounts, or venue relationships. If you already have a colorist, you keep that chair. Avelen handles the extension plan.

Fine or thin hair before a wedding

If the starting hair is fine or thin, the wedding look still has to sit on what you already have. Placement, density, and amount are candidacy questions — not a reason to overload the hair for one date.

That decision page is thin-hair volume. This URL does not replace it. Come back here for wedding timing and the intended hairstyle; go there when the question is whether more hair can look natural on a finer starting point.

What the published packages cost

There is no published bridal package and no invented bridal markup on this page. The same verified starting menu applies. Package choice is individual after photos.

Starting installs for 20", hair + installation included:

Natural Volume · 20"

From
$1,000

An option for a quieter add — not a bridal-only tier.

Triple · 20"

From
$1,700

An option for the highest published starting density.

A $100 deposit holds the visit and is credited to the service. The photo consultation is free. Keratin-bond from-$ detail: K-Tip price in NYC. Every method in one overview: pricing.

Appointment planning — private spaces and boroughs

The visit is a private appointment, not a walk-in retail floor and not an owned salon. Appointment spaces are available in Midtown, Brooklyn, and Astoria. You pick the door when you book.

We do not attend the venue unless that is a separately agreed mobile visit — and even then it is not wedding-day hairstyling. Most wedding-date sets are installed in a booked appointment space after the photo plan.

Aftercare before the date

How you wash, sleep, and use heat changes how a set sits in photographs. Those habits live on aftercare. Wedding week is a poor time to experiment with new density, new color, or a different wash routine.

We do not publish a wear promise tied to the ceremony date. Care notes are set after the method and the plan are real.

Removal and reinstall if you already wear a set

If you already wear extensions, the wedding plan may include a clean take-down, a later rebuild, or work on the set that is already there. Those are different paths. Photos decide.

The planned take-down and optional rebuild process lives on removal and reinstall. Use that URL when you already know the current set should come out. Stay here when the question is how that work fits the wedding calendar.

Consented results we can show

We do not have a consented case labeled as bridal. The photos below are general consented studio results. They are finish references — not a wedding client, not a bridal transformation, and not a promise that your result will match.

FAQ

Do you style hair on the wedding day?

No. Avelen sells and installs hair extensions. This page does not include wedding-day hairstyling, bridal makeup, day-of touchups, bridal-party styling, or venue attendance. Extensions can be planned for the hairstyle you want to wear; whoever does that style is a separate booking.

When should I start planning extensions for a wedding?

Start a photo consult once the date and the intended look are real enough to plan. Many people begin months ahead so color, amount, and an install date can be placed without rushing. Timing is individualized. We do not publish an install-exactly-N-days rule. The informational sequence lives on bridal timeline.

Is there a separate bridal package?

No. There is no published bridal package and no invented bridal add-on menu. The same starting packages apply: Natural Volume from $1,000, Double from $1,400, Triple from $1,700 (20"), hair + installation included. A $100 deposit holds the visit and is credited to the service. See K-Tip price in NYC and pricing.

Can extensions support an updo or veil someone else will style?

Often that is the point of the plan: enough length, density, and movement for the hairstyle you intend to wear. We plan and install the hair. We do not claim to perform that hairstyle. Send a reference photo with the consult if you have one.

What if I am coloring my hair before the wedding?

Tell us the intended wedding hair color so the extension match can account for it. Final blend is confirmed in the appointment. We do not list preferred salons, planners, or partner discounts. If you already have a colorist, you keep that relationship.

I have fine or thin hair. Can I still plan a wedding set?

Sometimes, when placement, density, and amount can sit on the hair you start with. That candidacy question lives on thin-hair volume. This page stays bridal extension planning. We do not make medical claims.

What photos should I send for a bridal consult?

Send 2–4 daylight photos: front, side, back, and a close view of the root and part. Add the wedding date and a dress, veil, or hairstyle reference if you have one. That is the photo consultation. It is free.

Where are wedding-extension appointments?

Private appointment spaces — not walk-in storefronts — with Midtown, Brooklyn, and Astoria availability. You pick the door when you book. We do not claim an owned salon.

Do you have bridal before-and-after photos?

We do not have a consented case labeled as bridal. Gallery photos on this page are general consented studio results — not a wedding client and not a bridal transformation. Browse results.

I already wear extensions. Do they need to come out before the wedding?

Sometimes a take-down and later rebuild is the cleaner path; sometimes the current set can be planned around. Photos decide. See removal and reinstall if you already know the set should come out. This page stays the wedding-date plan.
